    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

A New Home; Reagan, Ruan, Ava, Any

    Ruan
    Sahm. Newton.

They were like family and were greeted with warm eyes and a soft smile. Reagan would know of them already, and would most likely show up soon. It was not something that needed said; magicians had their ways. Ruan's blue gaze shifted to the girls, looking over them curiously. He hadn't met them yet, having seen Sahm, Newton, and Elora only briefly that day.

Hello, he said kindly. I'm Ruan. What are your names?

It felt like it had been so long since a little one was at his side. Heda was an adventurous girl and was often out and about with her sister Jinju. Iasan was an independent boy, doing things for himself as though he were not truly a child at all. Always with his mother's watchful eyes keeping track of him. And Terra; she was special to him. She had been a little feral when he'd found her, and had instantly settled herself within his heart. But she was not one to be paraded about as he did his daily, boring tasks.

It's good to see you have made it safely, he said, looking back to Sahm and Newton. Come, I am sure Reagan will join us soon. He smiled and turned to lead them further into the Taiga, glassy ice wings tucked to his purple-spotted sides.
