    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

The star that shines so bright [birthing] - Andras, Porcia

The light that shines so bright.

Well of course had she left his side. Even though she loved him dearly, this intimate moment was something she wanted – needed – to experience alone. Gyps knows he wouldn’t hurt her, never, and that he would protect her instead of hurting her, yet she had chosen her privacy. However, that doesn’t mean she won’t allow him near now. So she answers his call with a loud whinny right away, without moving away from their black and white daughter’s side.

First a smile appears on her lips upon his arrival and she lovingly returns the greeting, deeply inhaling his scent. ”Don’t be silly, Andras. It was something that I needed to do alone” she answers him, as her muzzle travels down his neck in a silent apology. But when his attention moves to Porcia she cannot help but to feel anxious. It feels wrong to move away from her little girl’s side and even more wrong to let a stallion near her, even though she is highly aware of the fact that Andras wouldn’t be a threat to his own daughter.

She watches father and daughter meeting each other in silence, but whoever would lay their eyes upon her would notice her nervous and uncomfortable state. Gyps knows she can’t tell him to step away, and she doesn’t want to tell him that either, but she simply cannot stop nor ignore the feelings that so suddenly overtake her. This was hér daughter, shé had to protect her, keep her safe from others, sheltered at her side. Perhaps it was due to her own youth, her inexperience with being a mother, or maybe it was even a trauma from her own youth. After all, it could be possible that the lack of faith in her own parents – and Andras’ alike – drove her to this kind of over protectiveness.

”A-An..Andras..” she manages to speak up, hoping that he would understand the situation simply by lying his eyes upon her. Because how could she tell him that her instincts and sheer panic didn’t want him near. Near to their daughter that was, as Gyps needed him tightly at her own side.

Sorry for the drama, don't know where it came from. But I kind of like it, at least it gives them something to work on again haha. Nothing major, she'll ease soon ^^
