The light that shines so bright.
Being a royal would probably be nothing for her. She would suck terribly. The responsibilities are too much for her carefree and still playful nature. Oh sure, Gyps does want to achieve things and gain from whatever she achieves, but at the same time she’s too lazy to put much effort in things. She’s like the little effort big results type of horse, not really interested in making her hooves dirty, but wanting to get things done. Not really the most effective characteristics if you wanted to achieve something, but maybe that was the result of being raised in a herd. Although both her parents were the alphas, she had never learned how to do other things than just live peacefully in the herd.
She chuckles, grinning even, but all to hide the sudden hesitance she feels because of his compliment. His words stir some unfamiliar feeling inside of her, which she eventually blames on the excitement of seeing Andras again. ”Your horn looks sharper too, you sure you haven’t hurt anyone with it?” she teases him, still grinning and hoping to mask her sudden hesitance from before.
Their play is cut short as the conversation starts. Well, maybe that’s for the better too, Gyps thinks. After all, they both had aged and although still young, they weren’t children anymore. Or that did she like to think. A smile edges on her lips as he tells her he has been good, she feels a strange sense of relief, but mostly she’s just glad he’s okay. She tilts her head slightly, carefully listening to his words about this kingdom, the Falls. Sure, she knew about the kingdoms, her dad was active in the Dale, but she didn’t really have experience in that matter herself. So Gyps ends up shaking her head slightly, eyes moving towards the ground as she dips her head slightly. ”Neither. I do not live in a kingdom.” That she lived in a herd was something that she didn’t tell him. He could think she was a traveller for her sake. She could’ve joined the Dale, her father would’ve been proud, but she feels like she doesn’t have what it takes.
Offering Andras a smile she hopes to bring the conversation to another subject. ”A warrior, huh? Means you’re training and working out all of the time?” she asks, genuinely interested. Her ears are pointing forward, in his direction, and she’s smiling sweetly. ”Playing with squirrels isn’t really that what a warrior does, doesn’t it? Or were you hunting it instead?”
