    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

The light that shines so bright.

Instantly the corners of her lips curl up as he replies. So he hadn’t forgotten about her. Well, that was good, she supposed. He dips her head and she raised hers, playing along with him. ”Make sure to remember that, Andras” she teasingly jokes. Being a royal didn’t sound too bad, well, that was except for being thé royal. The young girl liked the thought of being a princess, having all the right to act as a bratty and spoiled little thing, just the thought of being the monarch with all the burdens upon your shoulders didn’t appeal to her as much. But for now it was a fun game to play. Gyps might look almost grown up, she certainly wasn’t entirely yet. And Andras clearly wasn’t either. Or at least not around her.

Her gaze follows his to her wings and in a reaction to that she unfolds and ruffles them slightly, before turning to him grinning. As she the black wings against her side again her own eyes travel to his horn, which had clearly grown with him. It was not only longer, but also thicker and the tip looked sharper than before. However, he doesn’t give her a long time to study it, as he suddenly moves closer and trashes his head – and horn – around while he rears. Of course Gyps doesn’t let that challenge go unanswered. Her wings unfold again, spreading until they are at their max, and she lifts her front legs from the ground too, to meet his low rear. Playfully hitting one of her white legs in his direction.

She’s about to rear again when he suddenly falls still, re-starting the conversation again. This surprises her, but she soon answers him with a grin. ”Good, I suppose, nothing too fancy. And you? Has life been good to you?” she asks him in return. Not just to be polite, but also because she’s genuinely interested. After all, she had enjoyed playing with him as a child and he still seemed nice. So what harm could it be to see if there was some friendship to blossom?
