    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Then there came a sound,
distant first, it grew into castrophany
So immense that it could be heard far away in space

His searching had not gone well to be honest. Well, it was a bit obvious as he still had not found what he was looking for, and he had now been searching almost constantly for almost 2 years. He'd be met with frowns, confused glances, the shake of a head and words that only saddened him more and more. That was until someone gave him hope. "Yes, I do believe I recognize the name, but I have not seen them for a few months now. Last I saw him, he was heading north." But this was all Rile needed to hear, with hope in his heart Rile had left his fathers herd and decided to find his lost brother, even if it took him his whole life.
He wasn't sure what drove him to do this. Perhaps it was the guilt that he had willingly left his younger, weaker brother behind without so much as a glance back to see if he would be ok. Or maybe it was his determination and stubbornness. Once he had his mind set upon a task, he would not give up, and he'd only ever stop until he completed what he had set out to do.

His brown eyes searched the meadow, trying to find any silver black stallion. Dismay hit him only briefly as he saw none, but he was hopeful in that he would find something. He moved lazily across the meadow, if one were to watch him from a distance they would probably think he had no intentions, no where to be, no responsibilities. But he was walking slowly with reason, and though his head hung low, watching as his hooves created prints in the white ground, he was on full alert, ears pivoting back and forth, listening to anything that may give away the presence of anyone. He was on the look out for any that looked to be of the northern most point of Beqanna, hoping to find an invitation up to the ice wall. He knew he would not be welcomed north without an invitation or escort, and so here he was, seeking one.
