    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

So you can beat me black and blue - Any
    #3

    Mezanix
So you can throw me to the wolves,
    Tomorrow I will come back,
    Leader of the whole pack.

The dark coated mare had not waited long before her invitation was answered. Her black eyes fell upon a stallion of dark complexion with white trailing his body. An odd feeling came about her as he spoke, but Mezanix did not fear this feeling nor dwell on it. She was intrigued to say the least about this stallion. He was tall, much like herself, though he held something more than she did, he held status, something that had always been a desire for Mezanix, and because of this status, he carried himself tall and proud. Not a sense of fear. He was a confident one indeed, who wouldn't be, to approach a train-wreck such as herself. Her draw to this stallion quickly took a turn to being guarded. Lass. Her dark eyes narrowed but she did not offer words to the stallion. Instead she let him speak, and it appeared he was just as curious about her, as she was about him. But then again, she had been the one to invite company, and she had been the daring one to pick the fields, of all places. She had brought this meeting of questions upon herself.
"I'm here to satisfy curiosity." Her words fell like lyrics to a song, musical and meaningful, powerful yet gentle. Her words were truth, indeed she was here upon a task to quench her curiosity, trying to provoke danger to come her way so she may taunt it and fight it off. Perhaps the fields was not the perfect place for such things, but the whispered warnings of other mares had been clear to stay away from the fields, and all Mezanix found was questions as to why. So far she had found no danger in the fields, nothing to cause her to fight back, but then again she had only been here a few hours at most.
"Perhaps if the mysterious stallion were to give a name, I could be swayed. I'm Mezanix." Again, lyrical words escaped her maw as her dark eyes remained trained to the stallion infront of her, studying his teal eyes with utmost curiosity. He held an air of adventure and possibilities about him, something she longed to experience, but she'd be dammed if she'd go somewhere so easily. Oh no, that was not who she was. If he truly wished to have her in his lands, he'd have to play her game first. And in turn, she'd play his.
