Perhaps the season was what would explain Tashi’s burning interest and curiosity after the distant and still unknown caller that she’d heard earlier. It was after all part of the experience for those of the female gender to feel a certain hormonal drive and instinct to pair with a capable, strong male this time of year. And being a mare whom had never before paired with a stallion and bore a foal, well, that certainly did not help matters none. She was a curious mare by nature and could not help but wonder what it'd be like if she did encounter a stallion who took an interest in her.
But that was something that the world did not seem to have planned for her just yet as the weather hinted at the approaching winter. Tashi could not say that she was disappointed to hear a feminine voice reply to her call, because really she did not even know who or what she truly called for. She only knew that she called for a friendly face, a companion, and possibly even a friend.
As ebony-tipped ears flick keenly upon her crown on thick locks, the Lusitano's attention swept over the brown grasses of the field. The individual that approached her was the color of pitch - a color that in perhaps an hour or so would allow the mare disappear with frightening ease when the setting sun dipped beyond the horizon line. Tashi, however, showed no sign whatsoever of being intimidated by this stranger and in fact was quite visibly intrigued by the lady and her friendly greeting.
"Evening... and it is!" The buckskin mare smiled, youthful voice earnest and warm chocolate eyes bright as she flicks her attention to the colorful autumn scenery at the black's reference. It is only a few seconds before her focus returns to the mare again, ears flicking momentarily at her introduction and gaze widening slightly in surprise. "That sounds like quite a herd to have their very own 'Diplomat'." A bemused expression crossed the mare's dark-pointed face, aware that she likely sounded entirely naive on the subject, which in truth, she was. "My name is Tashi." She dipped her head in a light and acknowledging nod, maintaining the common courtesy of manners.
The approaching hoofbeats of another interrupted at that moment and Tashi raised her head abruptly, ears pressed forward with interest. She half expected another mare - perhaps another lone female like herself or perhaps even a friend of Naga's. Upon seeing the taller and muscular figure, the buckskin mare's surprise was clear as she did a quick double-take as if to make sure her eyes were not misleading her."Hi there." She responded, a touch quieter than before and with a almost apprehensive smile. Shifting her weight absently without thinking, the spanish-bred mare let her gaze trail appreciatively over the bay roan's figure and fleetingly met his gaze when he asked for their names. "Tashi." She returned a small, sheepish smile, sensing that the majority of the stallion's attention seemed to be resting on her.
(OOC: Sooo sorry for the delay, guys! The holiday week/weekend really messed up my schedule!)
