    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

A Change in the Wind [Vida, Any]
    #10
Dipping her head as both an acknowledgement that she understood he would issue a meeting soon, and as a farewell, Vida watched Hasenel trot away to, as he said, go check on his mares. The grulla dun wondered a moment how many others were here, in his kingdom, but supposed she shouldn't bother with those thoughts right now. She would probably find out at this meeting Hasenel would soon be calling the kingdom together for.

So, with that out of her mind, and only thoughts of enjoying her time for the remainder of the day, Vida took off, sprinting down the line of where the sand and the ocean met, enjoying the water being sprayed up onto her mane and skin as she galloped off to explore.
