    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Deep concentration flitted over the dark mares face. Long ivory tendrils flicked over her patterned legs that yearned to run out into the field. Yet she stayed hidden away in the cover of the surrounding trees. The many horses that dotted this desolate place irked her to the pit of her being. Pale blue orbs looked at them in envy. Freely chatting to one another petal like ears perked as they laughed or smiled. She never spoke really. In most cases she played mute just to be left alone.

She didnt know why she was here at all. It was to hot out for her to be bothered yet she was here. Enjoying the gentle shade from the trees above her. Stepping out she squinted as the bight afternoon sun shone brightly upon her. Dark yet seemingly white legs carried her forward. Grace marked this creature though she didnt seem to think so. She had a sort of hauntingly beautiful elegance in her step. The way those piercing blue eyes fell upon the others as she began to make way for an empty part of the clearing.

A hum escaped her dark lips as the gentle breeze swept the tail like grass upon her under belly. Despite her not wanting to admit it she was enjoying herself. Getting out to see others for once. She offered a colt a smile who ran proudly next to its mother as they passed.

SHe soon stopped near the center of the large area. SOme others looked up tilting there heads to which she ducked hers pretending to graze. Her attempt at civilness was over. Now to possibly be left alone. Though she deeply wouldnt mind company if it came to find her in the hours that she would be here.

Muzzle brushed against the soft shoots of grass fondly. She wasnt hungry yet she allowed her teeth to pull the blades out of the earth and swallow. Lifting her head she let out a forced yet curious whicker from deep within her chest. It was melodic and soft. A hint of rasp to it.

"How truly satisfying it is to speak after so long."

The mare muttered before once more lowering her head below the tall grases as a form of shade for her eyes.

    "How truly satisfying."
If not today, Why not tomorrow?
