    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

We danced with monsters through the night

Tiphon is silently pressed against a large oak tree. His eyes, molten pools of gold, peer out toward the collecting group. He had been drawn to the scent of the Falls; the young girl is a stranger to these parts and reeks of angst as she approaches the invisible border. From afar, teh angel king observes the display of welcoming to confusion and muffled distraught. There is much that has happened among the small familial group, but Tiphon has been made oblivious to it all. He is unaware of the triangle that he has found himself in. Talulah, Tiberios, Shatter Me, Tyrna, Elysteria, and himself. There are intricate knots in such a small group but it's all slowly piecing together now.

Tiphon steps forward then as the recognition of father and daughter is made apparent. Talulah's inward expression of shock is subtle but he takes note of even the smallest of changes within her. A smile touches his lips as she's preparing to go. Simply seeing her, even for a fleeting moment, brings forth a warmth inside him (further enhanced by the child they've created attached to her side). When they fade, the king turns his attention to Tiberios and Tyrna. His head tilts curiously to one side. "So this must be my granddaughter then," his grin broadens, "I'm Tiphon."

Then he glances back towards where Talulah departed and recalls the thick tension that had sprouted when she was still here. "I see you already met Talulah and our son, Ramiel. I suppose he would be your... uncle?" It sounded odd considering the age difference but it's passed off with an airy chuckle and shrug.
