    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    TIERNAN

Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go.

He wouldn't have cared if she had been the most common color in all the world, he would have still approached her, if only to make sure she was okay (as he was doing now). Her body language screamed that she was hiding, attempting to pull in on herself until she was nothing more than something small and unimportant and not worth the time for someone to investigate. Tiernan had seen it before, another beautiful broken girl. He would do his best to put her to rights.

Tiernan was that guy it was easy to love because he was so damn nice, so easy to get along with and really just wanted whatever was best for you. Unfortunately for the poor guy he was often loved in just a friendly fashion and never the soul consuming love that he wanted. He wanted love so hot and fast that it burned him, and then when the flames died down they simmered for the rest of their lives.

He doesn't miss the way her eyes drop from him at his question, but he is nothing but steady and so he is quiet and patient as she decides what to tell him. He almost smiles at what she tells him, instead he merely nods slightly acknowledging what she said. "Hmm." He says, making a noise in his throat and seeming to take in the foliage surrounding them. He was thankful for summer, for the heat that beat on his back in the sunshine and green on the branches around them. The trees were less numerous here but they were here, despite it being a field.

"Understandable. This heat could make anyone tired." He turns his eyes back to her, and there is something knowing in his eyes that tells her he's not fooled but is willing to let it go for now. "My name is Tiernan." And for a moment he is not sure what he ought to do, then he sighs. "Morigan," He pauses, his words thick with his brogue. "Would you do me the honor of coming home with me? I don't have a place right now, but you look like you want a place that is safe and I tire of the Field and Meadow and Forest. You can help me pick it out." He says this with a small smile and he knows it is rather sudden but he was just ready to go home. To find what he needed out here and return to a place that was his and that he keeps safe. "I am sorry for the suddenness of it." He says with a small bob of his head even as he waits for her answer.
