    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

She had yet to hear the name “Chamber” be related to evil and darkness. To her, it is still the kingdom that could, but never did. It was a kingdom that should, but most likely wouldn’t. A kingdom no stronger than her beloved Valley.

Though she wanted the Chamber to be stronger.

She wanted her original, initial home to prosper.

Our darling Kindling started here, and it was time she ended here, as well.

So what brings her to Straia’s door? Aside from pointless meandering and nosing about? A job. Our fire ex-queen has spent too long lurking amongst the shadows and watching the ponies play. She has just about had it with playing mime and now it was time to put herself to work. She was always better, after all, at working than she was leading. Leading took cautious conversations and diplomatic principles. Working just needed her body.

    Her heart.

“A job,” she states. A job preferably in the war caste however it wouldn’t shock her if she was assigned under the peace core as well. She had originally been the top of the chain in that genre, however that was many years ago.

“Don’t you think our world has been a little too quiet? I do.”

Is the Chamber the kingdom to put a damper in Beqanna’s peaceful state of mind? Or is Kindling fishing for food in a poisoned pond?

When she awoke, the world was on fire.
