    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

What a strange gathering they must look like. A pyromancer and a shapeshifter, some sort of winter magician and a cosmic skeleton. The jokes could very well write themselves if he were the humorous sort. He is wicked and cunning, power hungry and ruthless to those he considers enemies but a joker? He is not.

Idle hands have often been called "the devils playground", and he was the very embodiment of such a saying. He was at his best when he had something to occupy his time and his powers (even though he was lazy and selfish and only did the things that suited him in the moment). First, he turned towards Panther Girl, curling his lip as she tore into the soft fur of the rabbits belly. "If you insist... Iliana." he said, testing her name and finding it maybe a little more enjoyable than Panther Girl. Next, he turns to the nameless roan. He finds himself caught somewhere between amusement and exasperation when it comes to this odd fellow. "Well now that I've got your full approval, I'll carry on doing as I've always done." he said with an amused huff. He could have stopped there, but he was too much of an arrogant bastard to behave in any other way. Instead, he flicked his head, causing a circle of flames to erupt around the roan. They were harmless unless touched, but they did give off a fair bit of warmth. "You looked cold." he said through his smirk.

Finally, his gaze found the newest member of their merry band of vagrants. "See, even Starbry agrees that you look cold. Only trying to help a friend." he said as innocently as he could muster. Which wasn't very innocent at all. But he did try. "So with dinner and sacrifice apparently off the table, what can we do to shake off the boredom? I could light the entire forest on fire...?" he offered, unable to keep the hopefulness from coating his voice.
