Wynters looker up to Luvi, curiosity taking hold as she glanced between Luvi and her brother Ravin, noticing the difference between the siblings, from the Markings on their coat, to the height difference, taking in there different mannerisms. Ravin seemed much more confident than his sister, in truth his bold nature frightened the younger filly a little, where as Luvi seemed more reserved and quieter than her brother, something that put the little filly more at ease with her.
Hearing the other mares words Cascadia let out the breath she hadn't know she was holding, she hadn't wanted to offend them by insinuating their home wasn't safe, even though that was exactly where her mind had gone. As long as her child stayed within her sight she could let go a little of that tight leash she had been holding, knowing the foal needed to let loose a little and gain her own confidence like any normal foal did.
Wynters looked up at the other filly with interest, listening intently to her words.
She smiles at the thought of being as big as those around her Will I be as big as you someday? she questions quietly, her full attention on the other filly in front of her.
I want to be as big and as brave as my momma one day, so I can fight off the bad creatures like she was.
Cascadia drops her head slightly at the comment. She had screwed up this motherhood thing from before her foal was born and could only hope she hadn't done irreversible damage to her psyche, clearly the foal hadn't felt safe and probably still didn't now.
She huffed softly at herself. Wynters she called softly, the foal only turning her head to look at her mother who was directly behind her. We are safe here she continued, attempting to reassure her foal who turned and nuzzled her mother, without actually replying to her mother's comment.
Frowning Cascadia couldn't really blame her for not believing her, after all she didn't 100% believe it herself yet.
With interest alight in her eyes at the thought of exploring with Luvi, Wynters asked with a slight pleading tone in her voice for her mother's permission. Seeing true interest in the child's eyes and voice she smiled and nodded yes, you can go, but stay with my sight please she says, glancing briefly between Wynters and Luvi, although she didn't think she had to worry about Luvi running off and abandoning Wynters, having seen the look the filly had given her mother when she had mentioned the same thing.
After the youngsters had moved off a little she sighed, dropping her head and closing her eyes ad she whispered Thank you just loud enough that she knew Myrna would hear her, but the foals wouldn't.
