As Aurora approached, Crucis couldn't help but notice the genuine warmth in her smile. As the conversation flowed, her gaze kept returning to Aurora's belly, barely concealed under her feathers. She couldn't help but envy how well Aurora concealed her own pregnancy. Her own wings hardly offered much coverage when spread open. Unfurling her wings, she felt the satisfying stretch after a prolonged period of dormancy. The longing to soar through the skies surged within her once more. Whenever she yearned for the stars, a vivid dream of flying alongside Amenadiel and their child would captivate her mind.
