It unnerved Fazia to look up at the mountain and realize that she needed to climb it but she had expected that feeling to fade as she began the task. Instead, each step that carried her above sea level was a peculiar mix of thrilling and absolutely terrifying. She imagined she could feel her body being called back down, providing a weight to her that did not exist normally.

She did not keep her silver and black eyes anywhere except the path ahead for fear that catching so much as a glimpse of the distant ocean would increase that weight to the point that it would drag her back down.

So much of her nature existed in the water but a new drive had sparked within her, providing the inspiration for this climb. To seek out what the Beqanna natives had told her existed on this mountain.

Fazia had no true ambitions, no desire to rise to a throne when the one she may have one day taken with her twin no longer existed, but she did harbour wishes within her heart. And the wish to be more like her mother was the inspiration for this climb that took her so far out of her element.
