Evening falls, and the fairies return to whence they came, taking with them their glowing light and gift of magic.
All but one. It continues to glow, burning brightly through the night, perched high in the boughs of a budding elm. When dawn breaks, the little bit of light is subsumed by the rising sun, leaving only magic that trickles down onto the one below.
