The tovero tunes into the symphony of this new land. His auditory sense picks up: the woosh of air beneath a startled hawk's wings; the hushed rustle of leaves in the breeze; and, the scurry of a small mammal through the underbrush. His tranquil walk is disturbed by an abrupt cry (identified as equine) and, a violent splash in the nearby blue waters. Four limbs cease motion and align in a casual stance. His blue gaze bright and alert as he attempts to focus in the direction of the sound that caught his attention. He steps off of the narrow path he has been following, and proceeds down the gentle trail that leads to the lake's edge.
Once close enough, the black and white marked male can discern the drenched form of a young mare. Her recent encounter with the lake makes her brown markings seem darker and, her pink skin show through the wet white fur. She stands shorter than himself and, slightly more refined. His sapphire gaze meets hers - a shade of ruby he has only seen in the wild poppies - and he offers an awkward smile. He hopes she does not feel uncomfortable, after all, accidents happen to every one. Velk chooses to stay where he is but, offers a gentle tone to break the growing tension in their silence. "Pardon me. I was passing by and heard a splash. Are you all right?" He waits for her to reply though, allows his gaze to watch the lake's waters calm down, rather than stare at the maiden.
