fiasko
Much like Emmerly, she can’t imagine ever calling another place home. The Gates had taken her in when she’d been a tiny little thing, all alone in the world, and desperate for a home and a family. They’d given her food, shelter, protection … raised her from a scared little girl to a unconfident adult. Then they’d help her transition from that self-conscious adult to the queen that she is today. She wouldn’t have had any of that, if they hadn’t given that to her. They’d saved her and made her into a somebody - a somebody to be loved and cared about, a somebody with a family. She couldn’t imagine every living somewhere else. The Gates is a part of her as much as she is a part of it.
And she’s glad to have yet another member return to them to fill their ranks. The Gates has given her so much, and she wants the kingdom to thrive, to succeed. Unfortunately that’s hard going these days.
She chuckles at Emmerly’s surprise that she’d had twins. She’d been just as surprised when they’d been born. “Oh they certainly kept me busy. Actually, Sidra kept me busy. Sahm’s always been perfectly well behaved.” She shakes her head. She loves Sidra dearly, but she hopes that the girl mellows out some day. “Thank you. Of course! Maybe you could teach Sidra a thing or two. She’s been expressing an interest in the army.” Battling certainly would be a way to get out some of the girl’s extra energy.
The stallion joins them then, and Fiasko nods politely at him. Her ears perk in interest when he mentions that he’s ‘come home.’ “Well, welcome home!” Perhaps he is here to stay then.
Emmerly asks after his caste of preference and Fiasko falls silent, interested in his response. Either caste would be welcome at this point - they are in such dire need of members.
