stars when you shine, you know how i feel
oh freedom is mine
"Is it something for us mere mortals to know?” Nashua teases. He has been the Mountain twice and the feeling of the rock beneath his hooves was like… anything he had ever known. The chestnut pegasus knew he could wander and explore the four wide corners of Beqanna and never known a pulse of Magic that strong.
His own quest from the faeries is still something that he has been considering and has told himself that eventually, he might come to understand. Perhaps. If it was something that the Mountain wanted him to realize, he thinks as he walks alongside Aedan. The grace of Magic or something of the like, he supposes.
Nashua flicks his flaxen tail and continues to walk, listening as the star-marked stallion shares more of himself. Nash’s green eyes glance over the constellations that dot Aedan’s neck and the young pegasus smiles. "It’s an easy thing to admire the stars,” he says. The pegasus keeps the current tone flowing between them, this easy banter but it’s the truth he speaks when he adds, "I often keep company with Polaris.” He speaks of the North star, that enduring guide which makes even the playful Nashua feel ephemeral.
And then joking again adds with a grin, "hard to get lost so long as the same star points North.”
But what @[Aedan] speaks of next is the thing that lights Nashua to his very core; the winged youth has yet to learn limits. "Why stop at the stars?” He wonders and looks up, despite the hour of the day they find themselves in. His short two years clearly visible, "do you think that the night goes further than we can see?”
NASHUA
