A smile tipped his lips at the implication, that she was thinking of him even as she was so very far away and out of reach. Out of sight was not out of mind. But his amusement was short lived.
The shadow of a demon shot through his shoulder as he stood beside her, ripped viciously into her neck and she bled darkness down her body of light like black blood. He was frozen in shock, and then stiff in fury that anyone would dare to hurt an innocent girl, angelic and star-sent Luster, so violently without cause. And further rage, knowing he could do nothing about it as he glared down at the chain locking him here in his beautiful cage.
A dark and dangerous gleam entered his eyes, pulled from their depths where it often lay hidden. He tore through the land, shot through shadowed trees he could hardly see in time to dodge. More than a few scrapes rubbed his skin by the time he got there, his urgent strides able to ignore the growing weight of his leash as he sought the one thing, the one person that could calm him.
He said nothing as he slid in, launched himself at his sweet Karaugh with the fiercest need he'd ever had. The shallow waters could not soothe this, only she could. And he drank from her, crushed her seductive body to his with a groan and pulled and tugged at her special tonic that would mellow him, bring him back down from this engulfing fire. Cool him, dowse the flames.
After a time, she went limp in his arms and he sank gently to the ground with her, tearing away from her with a gasp for breath. Unconscious. The soft velvet of his nose brushed along her neck, seeking the stubborn pulse that he'd weakened with his greed. It was there, just as stubborn and strong as she was. Defiant girl. He sighed in relief and wrapped himself around her, tended and licked the wound tenderly and silently begging her to wake. He knew eventually he'd have to kill her for this damned craving controlling him, but he wasn't ready for that yet. Wasn't ready to lose her.
A soft sound snatched his attention and his head jerked up. Sharp eyes settled immediately on the little face he'd never wanted to learn of his true darkness, deep starry-purple and beautiful.
Klaudius.. he called quietly in a strained voice, dismayed that the boy would hate him now. His brows tightened in concern. She's ok, she'll wake soon, he promised by way of apology, his heart solid and heavy in his chest as he waited to see the damage he'd done between them.
go down with me, fall with me, lets make it worth it
