    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

How does it feel to be the enemy [Jah/Any]

    Jah-Lilah
    someday, we will foresee obstacles
Trust your intuition, it's just like going fishing.

As realization dawns on the dark youth, Jah's expression softens. She holds her frustration, nuzzling the little star. Her lack of experience and naivety is not her fault, it's how it should be. The despair and pain is evident, it seeps from the mare's pores like sweat, and she hopes suddenly things are made clear. This is nothing if not a wake-up call for @[Ciri] and Jah-Lilah hopes the mare treats it as such. The time for indecision, the times for childish back and forth games is over. Now there is another life hanging in the balance, one more important than either Daughter-of-the-Stars or Dragon-King's. If they aren't going to be together, fine, but there's no reason to drag a child through the mud with them.

As the girl's footsteps echo behind her, she slows for a moment. The mare eats the herb like a good girl, no fussing or fighting. This pleases Jah, little does Ciri know this will help her immensely. A spark seems to have gone out of the girl's eye, the wind out of her sails, and my mare nips her shoulder sharply. Wallowing in despair and self-pity, she inquires about the next move she should make. Jah-Lilah snorts with indignation. "Chin up. This is not a time to be moping. You will do exactly what you need to do. You will have this baby and it will be perfect, and you and the Dragon-King will raise it the best way you no how. It's only as complicated as YOU make it, little Star." The wytch sighs again, easing up on the girl. "It'll be alright. You two will be fine." She comes closer, embracing the girl and tugging on her hair softly.

You cast your line and I hope you get a bite
