Branches reach out toward her frosted skin, luring her because they hold in their depths what – whom – she truly desires. Valdis breathes in his familiar scent and her memories are suddenly ablaze with a fiery passion.
What took years to develop took only weeks to destroy.

The removal of his crown was only the beginning, but then she was stolen away and everything crumbled more. Confusion tainted her mind and added hesitation to her step where it hadn’t existed prior. A grin chases away the concentration that led her to him once their eyes level on one another. ”Sinner,” she whispers into the moonlight as her legs continue to bring them closer until her face neatly presses into the curve of his sloping shoulder, ”My Sinner.” Always hers. Even when Mary claimed him and coupled with him numerously, Valdis held onto the wavering thread of hope that he would return to her. Their children is the embodiment of their passionate desires. ”I want you to hold me,” to love me, she thinks but never says aloud.
