So let your heart, sweet heart Be your compass when you're lost Within the chaos and epidemic, there was nothing left for them in the meadow. She had found her guide—her silver lining—to guide her out of the darkness she had awoken in. If it had not been for him, she is not sure what she would have done. Perhaps fall into the chaos and become a victim of her own doing. Her silver lining, Tiphon, came with her every step of the way. From the beginning he was her hope and her guide to a haven that the faeries had opened to them all within Beqanna. When she could not fly, he came with her on foot towards the island, off the coast of the volcanic terrain in the west. The journey was a long one. There had been times she had feared becoming at risk of being infected, but Tiphon had made a promise to her. She believed him with her whole heart too. But she is not sure how she has ended up meeting someone who has given themselves so easily to protecting her and finding them a place of safety. Madelyn shouldn’t ask why though. Deep within she knows she needs to be grateful for the events that unfolded for her to meet the angel. To instantly meet someone who would be at her side from the very beginning was not something that always happened. And she would not have asked for anyone else. --- The island had been entirely a surprise to her. Madelyn had never expected to ever see something so beautiful. There were truly no words for her to say as to how much she had come to admire the island from the first day and to the days that followed. Every inch of the island was covered in beauty, from the white sand beaches to the tallest palm tree found on the island. She loved it all. But she was mostly thankful for a place to exist that kept her safe, and everyone else that came to find safety on the island of paradise. However, Madelyn isn’t sure just how long their paradise will last. The plague is kept at bay while they all live for a peaceful time on the island. But what if the magic from the faeries fails? What if the plague adapts and consumes them without them knowing? The plague wasn’t the only thing that left her uncertain as well. There was more to just disease that could end them all. But these are things she tries to not let her mind think about. Her time is better spent elsewhere, she decides. Mostly enjoying the hot summer days on the white beach of the island. It was her favorite place, so it’s obvious that is where she is to be found this mid-afternoon. Madelyn is half-way in the water, coming up just above her knees. The waves pull in and out, crashing gently against her buckskin legs. A soft breeze pushes through the sky. She lifts her muzzle up, eyes closed, letting the wind push her mane back and out of her face. The sun is warm today, and she feels at complete peace with the way it touches her and fills her with warmth. Truly, she was in paradise. Madelyn you wanna give up 'cause it's dark |
@[Tiphon] Skipping ahead since obviously a lot has happened on the island
