As per the rules, barriers can't be 100% impassable, so we're sticking to that in order to make sure we are fair.
Wolves have been reinforced with steel and quick healing to protect them from death.

Barrier: it is here to elementally protect the valley from destruction. It will put out wildfires, etc. and is here to protect the spirit and our wolves. BUT IT'S STILL PASSABLE. Feel free to spread the chaos here! Think of as if there was a wildfire, there would suddenly be a huge thunderstorm to put out the fire (it wouldn't happen too quickly, but eventually would). If there was a lightning storm, the barrier would eventally (again, not too quickly) clear away any clouds to stop it since clouds are needed for lightning to travel.
