hunt or be hunted
Sinner is more than willing to be the one that gives the satisfaction to others for what they are looking for and desire. To give others what they secretly wish is surely one of his greatest weapons. He has learned that others are more loyal, trusting, and willing to obey when fulfilling their own life-long dreams. But drinking from his cup comes with a price. The hellhound will never forget what he has given others. And neither would they. For the devil will always come back seeking what is rightful his to have. The favor in return for what he has given them. It was a higher price that needed to be paid. It seemed he had already filled the cup of satisfaction for Ruinam. The ivory stallion’s own question to serving him only concluded his thoughts to be correct. A pleasant smile grows across his mandible. The smile is warm and pleasant, but it shields the true intention of his pleasure. How could he not be pleased to see how willing and eager Ruinam was? Is it always this easy? The hound thinks with silent laughter. Ruinam may be eager to please, but he knows there are others out there that are more challenging. Some that do not have a nature to serve others and follow order. Valdis is one of those he thinks of. The very nature of her defiles against anything he has ever know—a challenging he wishes to defeat. But there is more than overcoming the challenge she presents. She is a wildfire within him, sending him ablaze from the inside and out. “There will be something,” he says. There will always be something for others to do for him. “However, the time is not just right.” But there is always a place and time for things. It was the first lesson he taught Ruinam. If he were to serve Sinner, the ivory stallion would need to be patient. “I will call you when the time comes. So, prepare yourself because it will not be an easy one.” Sacrifices might be required. He is willing to risk the lives and reputation of others to make himself stronger. But then there are those who are important. Would Ruinam prove to be someone Sinner would keep close? He isn’t quite sure yet, but there is a high promise already. |
