    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

The colt had his nose to the ground as he tried to sniff out JinJu who had hidden somewhere in the area. He did not know though if he was on the right track or if he was smelling a track that had been left to lead him off in the wrong direction. He lifted his head and wiggled his ears listening for a moment before turning down another underbrush path. He continued his search for her and lowered his pink hued nose to the ground once more. His ears swung back and his head shot up as the slightest sound of a giggle came to him or, what it just another sound of the forest.

Ardashir turned, his body pointing at the bush the sound had come from. He started to stalk down to the underbrush his ears focused forward. His nose twitched with tension as he moved forward. The soft thump and drag of his feet seemed to grow louder as he drew closer and, Ardashir hoped that he was not sneaking up on something that would in turn jump out and maim him in retaliation. He pushed his nose into the underbrush and now there was no going back he was at the mercy of what called this dark place it's home.

The ashen colored boy took a deep breath in and his muzzle twitched a couple times. “ JinJu..? It that you?” He asked and started to push his head further forward his eyes closed a bit as twigs moved out of the way of his head.
