    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Only In Darkness Can You See The Stars

Wow it had been some time since he had stepped foot in Beqanna. He doesn't know why he left....a child so dedicated to his parents...and one day he vanished...

He wasn't a boy anymore though, no, Bran was a stallion now. His body was much more defined like his fathers, although his frame remains slender like his mothers. His pelt shares details of his parents, the odd coloring that always left him to stand out with the detailing of galatic stars on his pelt.

He doesn't know what draws him to Loess, it wasn't his home as a boy. But it nearly spoke to him, he quietly slinks through the kingdom. His eyes scan the horizon, not only taking in the scenery but looking for someone who may greet him.

Tarian certainly doesn't know what brought the young stallion to the Loessian borders, either. One minute, he had been taking another round of patrols in silence (though he won't admit it he is looking for Wilding; he is always looking for that bewitching woman) and the next he finds a blue-painted male in his way. He is looking up and Tarian loosens his pale wings, letting them hang in a way that they hadn't been moments before.

His blue eyes narrow slightly at the other brute, marking him for scars or any other stories of war written upon his hide.

"Did nobody teach you the importance of borders?" Tarian rumbles out when he comes to a stop before the younger horse. His wings draw back up, tucking neatly against his gray hide. The Loessian could offer the wanderer an earful; but thoughts of his Queen - Lady Oceane - and her young protege Cheri still his tongue. They were more of the welcoming sort, much better at the niceties than the former Commander.

This wasn't the Eclipse, Tarian reminded himself.

Not every creature that crossed their border was out to devour its residents.

But no intruder would come across Tarian without him questioning their intent.

"What is your purpose here?" bluntly asks the silver pegasus; the question as pointed as his purpose in guarding Loess.
