    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

He has settled into Hyaline since his escape from Sylva. He was unsure it was the right move, but it proved to be successful. He was lucky to find Baltas and Kagerus who found him when he was half dead, so exhausted and unable to stand. Together they nursed him back to health, he was grateful to both of them.

Today he was out playing, he had yet to meet any equines his age but that did not keep him cooped up. He was out roaming the kingdom, it was large and he found himself by a river. It was summer and the heat was ruthless, the cool river offered relief from the harsh sun that beamed down. He playfully ran in and out of the river, his laughter was loud and gave away his spot for all within earshot.

Clegane is bulky for his age. He moves with wide steps and slightly lowered head - like a bull - his mother had said, although he really didn't know what that meant.

Today Solace and the twins are making their way across Hyaline, following the river to the common lands. They had attempted the journey several times before, but never had they been able to cross the mountains before the golden light of evening lit the mountainsides, and Solace announced that they would go no further for that day.

But Clegane didn't mind. They had always found interesting things to slow their progress, and his mother was forever getting herself into conversations with every passing resident. He half listened to these conversations, but it was more usual to find the prince slipping away with his twin while the Queen was distracted. Someday soon he would make it to the common lands, but he had a feeling it would be with Uncle Svedka or Smoak, and not his mother.

Solace is preoccupied with one of these conversations now, giving him the opportunity to follow a distant, young voice.  Feigning boredom, Clegane mopes along the riverbank until he is out of sight of his twin (who happens to be much more difficult to trick than his mother) then he picks up a lively trot until the owner of the voice is in view.

"Hey, you!" He calls over the tumbling waters as he trots gingerly over the stones. "Hi! What are you playing? Are you trying to swim? I'm a good swimmer."

@[Kanamae] I will have Solace follow in the next post!
