COTY
Assailant -- Year 226
QOTY
"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura
Mourning Mountains | |||||
As you cross over the border into this somber land, your eyes meet with many ominously looming mountains, their ragged peaks pressing against the sinister clouds, as if they are trying without success to escape this world. It is rarely sunny in the Mourning Mountains, and when it is the sun's rays are weak, unlike those of the Chamber, which the Mourning Mountains is almost directly connected to. The terrain here is very rocky and precarious, with only a few sparse pine trees clinging to the steep, uneven sides of the mountains, as well as many ice cold creeks lacing the territory. Here it is cool, but as you rise to the top of the bare and bleak mountains, breathing becomes more laboured and a chill touches your skin like fingers of ice, and the wind is the only noise to reach your ears, as there are almost no inhabitants in this gloomy land. As the eerie breeze wails endlessly, a deep sense of unimaginable loss emanates from the land's very core.
