    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Feeling your warmth flow away is the sensation I trust the most; Any!

The small colt takes in his first breath of fresh air, his eyes gently fluttering open as he tries to make sense of what is happening, staring curiously at his twin as his mother begins to lick him clean.
Tox licks the air as he tries to taste the many smells that suddenly rush toward him, an earthen aroma mixed in with the raw and bitter taste of timber and the sweet scent of water carried by the breeze from the river.

As he looks at his mother cleaning him, his eyes make it down to his body, observing his slightly thicker fur and gold markings that seem quite similar to his mother.
The colt can already feel small bursts of energy rushing to him, a smile forming on his chiselled face, small tusk-like shapes forming on the side of his cheeks, a feature that he would slowly grow into.

His legs are wobbly as he tries to stand, looking down at the floor as everything begins to spin wildly, his legs finding it hard to stay still.
As he wobbled around, he notices that he is slightly hunched, or at least a little more than his mother and twin sister, the colt twists his head curiously as his mother also takes note of the difference, bumping him toward his sister.

His feeble legs carry him a few steps forward before he starts to wobble again which leads to his inevitable fall, tumbling over next to his twin.
Though his attention remains curious, his tumble sending him upside down, his expression fascinated as he looks up at the forest canopy, staring at the thick forest canopy, small rays of sunshine beating through the dense jungle, illuminating parts of the forest floor, before long, the treeline leads his eyes to his twin, at which point he flips back over, his tail wagging enthusiastically "Hello!" he says with a grin, sitting back down on his haunches.
