    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

you give me something to believe in; Roseen

Ever since she had started wandering after leaving Ischia Roseen had tried to keep between the brother and sister Kingdoms. Straying as far as the meadow had not been her intention, and it's because of her terrible sense of direction that she was here in the first place, blissfully unaware. And so she grazed on the freshly sprouted spring grass, eyes shut as her entire body and mind were caught in a moment of relaxation. She hardly paid attention to what she was doing, for her thoughts were lost in a daydream. A lot had happened in her life since coming to Beqanna; her life was changing drastically, and she found that relaxing as she was now came as a more difficult task. Leilan plagued her mind the most, which brought fears and thoughts of Breckin along with them. She thought of Arthas, too, but not as much as the roan stallion. And now that her belly was swollen with a foal, things got even more difficult. Her mind was constantly in a loop of mixed emotions and thoughts, and even her body ached at times or left her with numbing pain. The foal was due any day, so she supposed it was only natural for her to start feeling pains now.

And so, now that she had managed to find time for such well deserved and desired relaxation, she did not squander it. She spent her time resting and grazing; she needed to keep herself in good health in order to have a healthy foal. It wasn't until she had started relaxing that she would feel movement from within her womb. Every few minutes or hours the foal would kick; she fancied imagining that was her foal's way of approving her decision to finally take it easy for once. Perhaps her traveling and weariness had also taken its toll on the unborn. If that was the case, then she needed to relax more often.

Just as she finally opened her eyes she heard something approaching. Curiously she rose her head, only to find another mare standing before her. The mare offered her a friendly greeting, but all Roseen did was blink in wonder as her brain slowly processed the situation. Someone had approached her, and spoke to her...that line repeated itself in her mind for a few heartbeats, until it finally sank in. Her eyes widened a little, her heart beating anxiously. "Uh...h-hello," she replied poorly. Greetings were never her strong suit, however, she had seemed to be getting better with communication and warming up to strangers quicker since meeting Leilan, Arthas and Breckin. Though she wasn't aware of the change.

"Is there...um...s-something I can do for you?" She asked, trying her best to remain calm and speak in a friendly manner.
