    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

If the sky could dream, it would dream of dragons - Adria

    Adria

Heavy hearts, like heavy clouds in the sky

There’s an itch in Adria’s soul longing to be scratched by adventure. Life on Ischia was perfect as could be: Mother, father, and Tyr were integral parts of her everyday routine while now and then she crossed paths with a member of the brotherhood. Her family kept to themselves and in doing so, they flourished with security and love.

But what star-gazing, dream-filled, growing filly wants to be surrounded by stability?

A sigh slips past her lips as Adria roamed the endless circle of Ischia’s borders, displacing the usually cheerful smile that often offset her roman nose while each dainty hoof beneath her shifted along with the give of sand. A year had passed since she first was sent off from home, to make ‘friends’ in the playground while her parents made busy at making her brother Tyr. “Wouldn’t have guessed it then, though.” The nereid girl thinks fondly, ducking her head to a small, rounded chest.

If her cheeks could flame with blush they would; such thoughts were not for ladies! All the same they come unbidden anyways - lofted dreams of swimming out to sea in search of a romance to call her own. The urgency of her childish whims begins to lead her astray from the warm sands for a dive into the crystal deep, where she might clear her head, but only a few meters out she sees a fine set of dark legs churning up the waves.

    A visitor!

Shyly, the water-filly swims closer, still submerged to keep the advantage of being hidden but curiously looking over the taught belly and trailing black tail of the newcomer. Something about him (for it’s certainly a him, no mistaking it with her vantage point) seems familiar, and against her better judgement the mythic shifter rises to float behind him, popping just her two ears and bright purple eyes out of the water to get a better look. “Drustan?!” The sabino blurts out, head rising fully from the whitecaps.
