    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

She hasn’t really had much interaction with others outside of her immediate family. Mostly she just follows Castile around as he does mundane things involving Loess, or she’ll glue herself to Cyprin’s side and they’ll meander the kingdom, exploring and laughing and learning together. As it is, she doesn’t know much in the ways of proper social interaction yet.

Clarissa doesn’t realize that she’s essentially being stalked as the boy does his best to watch her from the shadows, but she turns at the sudden skittering sound and gasps as the other child touches the outline of her face, shocked and a little frightened at the sudden touch.

But... there is something about him, something calming and terrifying all at once. Where his eyes should be, he has just nubs, the small beginnings of horns jutting from an unnatural place. Curiously she reaches towards him to echo his behavior, their touch curious and affectionate and Clarissa can’t tell if this is wrong or right, but there is something about him. Her soul feels at ease even as this stranger nuzzles her, before stepping back and grinning at her. His teeth alone should scare her but the small dragoness is not afraid as she watches him, taking in his scales and wings and stars.

“What does that mean?” she asks him as he states they belong together, the confusion in her expression a stark contrast to the confidence of his stance. “My name is Clarissa, and we’ve only just met.”

Taking a step closer to him, she lets her talons melt away to hooves, and quietly concentrates until she is able to pull the wings from within her, the pristine white of them a pretty contrast against his. “Is it because we are alike?” she murmurs, reaching out to brush her nose along his scaled neck. “Do you live here, too?”
