All that is gold does not glitter; not all who wander are lost
The white raven doesn’t budge; but he does admire her bravery. This girl might have been able to shift since birth, he thinks; she doesn’t know yet that his abilities lie beyond that of avian nature, but for now he is content to stay feathered.
As their feathers brush, he thinks she needs a greater challenge, and his form changes into a more agile one. It’s a swift that takes the place of the raven, and with a fast turn and quick acceleration, he follows the black she-bird, catching up with her and circling her in a screw-like move until he’s outflown her. A quick 90-degree turn follows, into a dive and then back up in a sharp V, his little tail just barely missing a grass stalk.
Safe to say, he’d practised flying ever since he was taught, and had followed the different movements of each type of bird he could find in Beqanna’s forests and fields.
