Beetlejuice does not understand that circumstances that brought him to the earth. He doesn’t understand why mother looks at him with disgust, or why she names him Beetlejuice out of resentment, or the creeping grin upon his father’s lips. He doesn’t understand much of anything. He is searching for answers, but when he finds none, he decides to go up to the stallion and stare up at him with those haunting blue eyes.
“Whyre you leaving?” He asks pitifully. A child, so innocent, so clearly trusting of those around him.
Little does he know what the future will hold for him, that Beetlejuice. Little does his mother know what her resentment will cause, and little does the stallion who claims the child as his own know how much BJ is truly like his biological father.
