He is born on the western edge of Tephra, beneath thick foliage and starry skies. First instincts always take over during this time. As his body is cleaned from remaining amniotic fluid, he sits patiently. He stumbles upwards onto four wobbly legs, and then searches for his mother’s sweet sustenance.
It is strange, being here on the volcanic soil rather than inside his mother’s womb. It is hot here, he decides rather quickly, as icy orbs finally open to scan the world around him. One (his left) it seems, doesn’t work like the other, and in his childhood naivety he decided that all the surrounding horses must have this issue.
His mother is rather attractive - icy blue with pretty wings. He hasn’t looked at himself yet, but silently he hopes he looks like her. Eyes trail over to the other figure beside her, he is huge, foreboding.
I guess this is my dad. He thinks to himself, wondering what would happen next.
