    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

The rushing waters of the spring channel between Tephra and the commonlands was cool against her golden hide.  Her winter coat has shed quickly this year, along with her heavied 'condition'.  That was in some other poor saps hands now.  Maybe even her own father's.  All she wanted was to return to Sylva. Quickly. Quietly.

Ebony legs carried her easily across.  Climbing the mudded banks from the recent precipitation she set her sights on the shadowed treeline.  Slipping into it's familiar embrace with ease.  She catches a glimpse of a stone hued equine looking across the waters a ways upstream.  He looks otherwise engaged in whatever he was doing so she thought best to continue on her way.  Stopping briefly to study the purpose of his gaze upon the waters.  She found nothing amazing about it but who was she to judge others fixations.  A grin creeps across her ebony lips as she thinks of her own fixations.

Against her better judgement she decides her approach.  Hidden within the darkness she has gone unnoticed.  Carefully placed steps tread lightly -nearly silent - as she stalks her 'prey'.  Deep brown eyes narrow upon the bulk of his masculine frame.  A flame a curious desire flickered brightly in them.  Weaving through the tangle of tree and brush she neared the treeline just before it broke into a clearing along the banks.  Her sleek feminine form emerged from her shadows among the forests.  "You look lost... Or something," she slides up along side him with slick words.  Eyes looking out across the same waters he was focused on.
