POTION & ECCO
The interaction is choppy, almost strained because one distinctly does not care while the other tries to solidify the fact she is as equally not invested in return. A cock-measuring contest and both so void of such members that the entire display was decidedly ridiculous. Potion laces her ears for a moment, irritated with them both as she watches and then listens to the remarks tossing from the girls mouth. The world was better when children were seen but not heard.
Sometimes the pale grey mare was unsure if she had done the right thing by assisting Deathwish in her growth. Methodically speeding up the clock against the knowledge of either. Just a week here or there as a child, nudging the girl towards womanhood and away from relying on her Dam. Then again maybe it was for the best, it was likely what had kept them from each other's throats.
The words that fell so loosely form the girl’s mouth was enough to make Potion snap to attention, obviously more than displeased by the statements. “You will one day understand that it is better to take care when you speak and when you listen,” she hissed the words like acidic bile. “That empty skull, as you so readily put it, knows how to play his strengths. Kirin is strong when he has numbers, thus he spreads himself like wildfire, consuming that which stands in his path. He is strong because he commands obedience, he gains trust- lest you forget to play your cards right, you will face the flames on your own.”
It was apparent that Potion calculated the world far more then she let on. She was a tool, yes, but lately she had earned such trust that the lavender leviathan had unknowingly been granting her her own numbers.
“I would hope you do not take to your Mother’s examples for direction,” Nostrils flaring, she looked down at the child, though she was hardly much bigger. WIth that one looked she displayed both disappointment and hope.
Ecco scoffed at the girl, snorting into the rough grass she had been devouring. “Wouldn’t you like to know,” she teased, flicking her tail and disappearing from the gathering she obviously did not want part of. She had her own tasks to tend to, sometimes they took hours to complete.
