    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

    "But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    The Light At The End Of The Tunnel- [Akkadian]{Birthing}

    like the dancer before me

    She was so large, her body hurt from carrying this foal, she wanted this pregnancy to be over, she wanted to meet the foal and have her body return to its petite state. She looks around Sylva cautiously, this is the lands that Akkadian chose for there family, for a foal he already adopted. It was uncomfortable to be without her Tundra kingdom, she felt almost like a traitor to be in Sylva. She did not know the lands well but she knew she would need to find cover, her body had been extra painful all day, pain she has never felt, this foal had to be telling her it was coming soon.

    It was muddy all around in the new spring lands, she lost time since the kingdoms disappeared, she had so much running through her mind but right now she had to find someplace to rest and give birth to this foal. She was starting to break a sweat from walking and her stomach stung with pain, filled with stress she hoped Akkadian would be able to detect her in the lands. There was a small wooded area that she was able to find, covered in leaves from last year and mud from the fresh rainfall. This was as good as any, she plopped on the ground and waited for her body to signal it was time.

    It felt like an eternity but eventually her body noted for her to push, and she did. She wanted to meet the precious foal, but she also wanted nothing more than to not feel the pain she was. She pushed, harder every time, soaked in sweat wondering of her own mother who gave birth to her, alone without a partner to care for her. Was this how her mother felt? But Josie wasn't alone, no she had Akkadian, he would be here soon.

    A few more pushes and a slimy black foal was on the muddy ground, she looked closer and it was a colt, a gentle smile grew on her maw. He was perfect, she cleaned him and noted the beautiful white star on his head, similar to her own. He was a perfect blend of herself and Akkadian, the petite arabian build, but muscular like Akkadian was, a fine stallion he would grow into. Ezra she whispered to the colt as she continued to clean him. She lifted her body off the ground nudging him to his feet, helping him to his first meal.
