Born in the Chamber to Astri and Killdare (the once king of the dark lands) Hellbane was caught up in court life and drama from a very early age. He depended mostly on his twin for companionship and never spoke until he was nearly a year and a half. A falling-out of sorts occurred between his father and mother when he was very young, an event which caused his mother (and her family) to be banned from the Chamber. Ever since then, Hellbane has kept his distance from all family, aside from his twin Mortal.
After the change in Beqanna happened, Hellbane wandered down the mountainside into the Forest where he was reunited with Mortal. The two were joined by a group of non-magical horses who decided that they should establish a home for the non-traited population in this new Beqanna, which eventually led him to the Hills, a newly discovered area that he intends to live in.
