    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

The water here manifests differently around him yet again. Time and knowledge wrap around his elemental nature and this time they cling to him more physically, but he also retains much more knowledge than before. This is a good realm, he thinks. A place that flows more similarly to what he already knows, or perhaps the magic is just more accepting, thus fluid in a sense.

The aqua-colored male strolls through the field, looking at spring with an almost happy smile. It is a well-practised friendly smile, and his eyes are kind, even though the rest of his persona seems a little closed-off. His silvery horn catches a lot of light and he certainly stands out with his really odd colors, not in the least the back stripe and single strand of hair in his tail, that are so contrasting in their lime-yellow color.

Emerald orbs scan the horizon, water puddles fill behind his step like little rain ponds in a clear field. The watery male is on his way to the waterfall nearby, as is obvious, as is expected. He finds joy in such clarity, like the clear spring day he has chosen to start his journey, even though he would have equally accepted and loved a rainy day.

Unphased is the only right word to describe the large, oily-haired male, and that is how his journey always starts.

don't come find me, I won't be here waiting
It is the first time she decides she needs a change of scenery. Spending the entire passing season within the tropical jungle had been an adjustment with the hot and humid weather, but she has grown to enjoy it. The pastel mare is eager to explore further into Beqanna, to discover what changes have occurred since she was last here.

Divest made her way to the edge of Tephra, away from prying eyes. Her ability to shift was still a hidden secret, even for Gale—and she wished to keep it hidden until she felt she could control it more. Once she had decided it was safe, a pair of appendages sprouted out, growing into pegasus wings that matched her pastel green coat with silver feathers.

She then takes off, soaring into the air, crossing over the other terrains until a large open field with lush grasses appears.

The pastel mare descends, the warm spring winds carrying her down towards the waterfall that caught her curiosity. It reminded her of the healing waterfall back in Tephra.

Landing softly onto the spring field, she draws her wings back in quickly appearing as if she never had them to begin with. Her gaze lands on the aqua-colored stallion. He moved with exceptional joy, bringing a soft smile to her delicate soft lips.

Divest lets out a soft call to the approaching turquoise and lime stallion. “Hello,” she says in a warm greeting after closing in the distance between them. Her soft smile grows large and wide as she studies him. “Quite a beautiful day, isn’t it?” She comments, noticing now it really was a beautiful day with spring florals, the soothing sounds of the waterfall behind them, and the warm sun beaming down without a cloud in sight.

    “I’m Divest,” she adds.

A mare approaches, her soft pastel green coat a reminder of his own; he's not as out of place as he might have feared from seeing most of the common folk in the field and meadow. Where some sported wings and horns, like he, and were either larger or smaller than average, still most other equines sported simple colours like chestnut or bay, with only a touch of something else; only dipped in blue or red or green. Not that it would be really important, but he recognizes that like calls to like.

She makes conversation easily and warmly, which he can appreciate. The time-old stallion nods to her as she comments, his emerald-green eyes focused on her for the moment she speaks, then diverts to the flora and the light-reflecting waterfall as he answers. "Certainly," he agrees. Yet before he can ask her name or give his own, she continues to introduce herself, to which he follows suit. "My name's Ahti," her tells her. "I've just arrived from a most peculiar place, so I must ask forgiveness, but could you tell me about this land and its customs? Are any deities present, other rules one should abide by?" He had, after all, not truly understood the mists he had travelled in, though he had suspected that it had to do with the explorer's subconscious wishes and dreams; whomever's desire seemed strongest (or so he had deduced) had decided what a place could look like. The strange mist had also had the uncanny ability to transport one to other places or make them walk in circles, and honestly, he couldn't decide if the portals of his earlier home had been better or worse. Nevertheless, this new land could hold any sort of tricks that he didn't know of, or angry rulers, deities or magic - so before using any of his own, he'd rather make sure he didn't set a hoof on the wrong path.
