The world is full of wonderful, fascinating things. Garett is a little older now, a little more comfortable moving about on his own. Although every time he does not have Gully at his side he feels a little shaky. Like he’s missing a limb.
Still, there is an adventurous heart within this shy boy that will not let him linger in the same spot for too long when there is so much to be seen, so much to learn.
The forest attracts him most out of all the common lands, and never more so than in the summer sunshine like this day. There is a green tint to the light that reaches the ground as it filters through the leaves above. This observation grabs his attention immediately and holds it as he moves through the forest on one of the paths made by the frequent passage of deer and horses. Is there a more magical sight, than sunlight through the top of a forest?
He has not considered that it may not be wise, walking with your head tilted upward and your entire focus on the light-dappled leaves that move slightly in a breeze. Has not considered that maybe someone else might be walking down the path towards him and in a moment of mutual distraction, they collide.
He only realizes its possibility when it happens - when he walks right into someone else and upon this collision, when he makes a very graceful, very mature, high-pitched yelp.
