That is what the cost was to save his son, he was just a colt, no one knew the outcome of the plague....Arthas was many things, many bad things, but he was a damn good father and he would not let Lothar suffer. He never expected to have to pay for his sons immortality with his life....but he would do it again given the opportunity.
The dapple king lays on the beach, he was immortal, is this what dying feels like? He gasps for air, but he gets no relief, until finally...he takes his last breath, and all that remains is his corps, chilling on the beaches edge.
