Darkness cover me, deny every thing - any - Rhavi - 06-24-2016 RHAVI DARKNESS COVER ME, DENY EVERY THING ”Uh oh..” The words were only a soft whisper underneath his breath, a soft whisper that has broken free from his lips. Where his audible reaction could be considered quite expressionless and it would sure look like he didn’t care, but his mind was already going in overdrive. Several thoughts clouded his thoughts, but the most prominent one sounded sort of like ’oh no, mom’s going to kill me’. The yearling colt had somehow found his way to the forest, breaking free from his mother’s side for what might be the first time. And it was clearly the first time that Rhavi had ventured off this far on his own, even though he had already reached the age in which he would be able to take care of himself. Well, Esileif did her best to make him think otherwise and honestly, the accident that he had now caused only proved how much he still needed the tobiano mare. He could only watch the fire which was spreading slowly. It probably was a good thing that it was winter and that a small layer of snow had painted the ground white. But apparently the branches of the sleeping trees had been dry enough to catch fire. All Rhavi had done was pass by, he hadn’t thrown a fireball, he had just been walking, exploring. The snow already diminished his power slightly – less than water would do, but is sure had some effect on him – but it hadn’t stopped his flaming mane to set the branch on fire. While secretly wishing and hoping that the fire would stop itself the graying boy stared at the slowly growing fire, helplessly and without a clue what to do now. Instantly he swore he would never, ever, venture out alone again, truly believing that whatever Esileif had said to him about his incompetentness was completely true. FIREBREATHING QUEST CHILD OF ESILEIF RE: Darkness cover me, deny every thing - any - Oricle - 06-25-2016 i counted the stars tonight, i gathered them all She schools her features into a neutral expression watching the boy from her hiding place, next season promised to be a miserable one, though the two year old was not aware of what womanhood would do to her, the heat, the pain, the desire. For now though she could enjoy blissful ignorance, but that was coming to its end as well. Others were treading through her home, through her bit of privacy, and she had no power to stop them. Its in the few blissful moments of peace that another voice disturbs her. She raises her head, curiosity peeking through to the forefront of her mind. Stepping from the bushes behind him, her pale eyes pierce venom into his rump. What are you doing here, it wasn’t the best way to start a conversation admittedly, but solitude did a lot of things to you, more than just the few voice’s whispering in her ear. She deviates her vision from his flickering tail to the blazing tree above. She hesitates for a moment, wondering if she should help him. You need help with that. this was not a question. No it was too obvious that he was had started some trouble, if the flames were not stopped soon they would consume more than their fair share of the land. Greedy as fire is, she is certain that the scars left behind would harm many creature’s homes. Looking to the sky nervously, she begins to wonder if asking the stars for their help would be too much. They flickered above her, almost encouraging her to use them, this had to be a good reason for violating their wills right? Focusing on the tree a wall of blue hued light softly glimmers in and out of vision. It’s a lot of concentration, a lot of exertion, her mind works strenuously, and she grits her teeth in her determination. The glimmers of light build and accumulate until they are palpable, stretching and expanding they bow into a sphere. A sphere around the branch, she holds it, constricting it, casing it slowly, letting the walls enfold the branch the sweltering flames retreating in their lack of oxygen. She was starving them of what they needed most, smothering them in their own heat. When all that is left is the blackened branch. Charred in the little remnants, it’s all that is left of the blunder. The whole happenstance left the roaned adolescent precarious, and faint. Heaving her sides, the pale of her eyes glowed with the fragments of the wafting starlight. She fights the need to collapse, hanging her head to regain her stability. Plumes of air exit her nostrils slowing with each breath. For a moment she looks to the colt a line thinning on her face. Her heart wavered in its calm, feeling heavy with guilt for her snippy behavior. I could help you learn a bit more if you like, she was slowly beginning to cave to the stars, she couldn’t keep holding back, even as much as she knows that she shouldn’t, it was becoming harder and harder not to exert herself and bend them to her will.
