The forest is new to her pale blue eyes. All she has known is snow, ice and cold. Her family in the Tundra keeps her warm and safe but Maribel finds herself seeking something. The long limbs pull her away from the north lands. Her head is foggy but she allows herself to go, seek, wonder.
The forest finds her, embracing her. Nostrils are flared as she tests the air, the dampness of the sping morning and she finds herself smiling. Azure pools seek any other form as if to see if this place was a dream. She dare not say a word as this place was not her home and there was a leap of fear for the unknown. Offspring had always protected his girl and would continue so but the flirt of flora scents on the breeze drew the young mare outward. Something tugged in her very being to reach out to other parts of the world in Beqanna. To see what else was out there.
The roan colt was officially a year old, his father had three new children this year and allowed Loken to travel about at his own desires. Loken was rather curious to the life outside of his fathers herd, he was still young and new to life but he began to flirt with the idea of lust. Mares grew pretty to him, they made him feel a certain way that he can't explain. He did not want a bunch of mares like his father did, just one would do for him. But aside from the new interest in mares he was still young and innocent, and he truly just wanted to have a good time with his friends.
He made the trip from his home in the Falls to the forest, it was always quiet possibly the most beautiful area during the spring. It was early morning, the air was still moist from the morning dew the flowers were just beginning to awake, opening there petals. It was slightly chilly, the sun was not fully up to provide the warmth. As he stood in the forest he looked around, there was plenty of mares with foals, a few stallions and some stragglers her has never seen before.
His gaze stopped on a palomino mare, she was certainly young still, but appeared more mature than Loken himself. She was beautiful and he could stare at her all day, her mane and tail a beautiful crisp white, there was no staining in it. Every strand layed in place, almost like she brushed her hair every day; Her coat was shiny, almost like velvet. He hoped she was as easy to talk to as she was to look at, he slowly trotted her way stopping a couple times deciding if he really wanted to approach her. Finally agreeing with himself to approach her Hello, My name is Loken, May I ask your name? he asked with a confident voice(slightly high pitched since he is still a colt). His father never really talked to him about mares, Loken figured he was just supposed to figure it out on his own. The mare smelled pretty, like she has never rolled in dirt in her life, almost like she bathed in rose petals every day. He was intrigued to strike a conversation with her, curious to where she lived, and what brought her to the forest.

He startles her enough to make her jump. An unbeknownst to her, the palomino blushes (all over!) from a soft pink to a blazing red. Her blue eys dance when the roan boy speaks. His voice is a low tenor, not quite baritone like that of her father. "Oh...M-Maribel." The mare-child stammers before her coat blends back to the honey yellow of her usual color. She laughs gently, shyly. "It's nice to meet you Loken."
A small smile blooms across her lips as she innocently enough stretches towards him, scenting him as she has often seen the adults do. He smells like a blend of wild flowers and cedar. The baby blue pools gaze as her smile grows. Her own parents had not ever discussed boys to her. In fact, Offspring was rather protective of the girl and would probably disapprove of her outing without any escort. But Mari shakes away the thoughts with the simple toss of her head. "Where are you from, Loken?" She asks him softly, easing towards him. The girl is gentle, naive. This was the first boy to talk to her outside of the Tundra and her father's watchful eye.
He charmingly gazed over the mare before him, she had a marvelous physique. He had little interaction with mares, aside from the ones in his fathers herds, and he certainly has never been drawn to one like this one. She seemed slightly startled from his approach, which to his surprise the mare changed from the golden coat to a pink ending in a red. His eyes grew wide clearly shocked at the talent the mare held, Well i...isn't that a trait he stuttered out, he was traitless but his father had some new foals that had traits but this was a first.
He shook out his body trying to relax his facial expression as the mare introduced herself Maribel he said to himself, familiarizing himself with the way her name rolled off his tongue. A pretty name, well suited for a pretty mare He spoke in an attempt to charm her. His ears pricked forward as she drew near him, he pranced forward a few steps himself closing the gap between them. Was this flirting? was she interested in him? He truly was not sure if he was thinking highly of himself or if he was to naive.
He focused back on the mare as she asked where he was from he took a moment thinking about how to explain his living situation. Well I live in my fathers herd lands in the Falls, but I lurk around the meadow and the forest because I don't care for the herd life Did that sound normal? Was he weird for not wanting to stay in the Falls, he wasn't really sure he hasn't met many equines outside of the Falls. What kingdom has the pleasure of calling you theres? he gave an attempt at a compliment, a cheesy smile following.
