The Bats - Random Event - 10-10-2025 Morning is on its way and all little bats should be tucked in safe with their colony - but children do go haywire. Two young bats are making quite the ruckus, arguing with each other as they flutter around a yellow tree within the forest. They're debating which direction to go and as the sun begins to rise they begin to get more and more nervous. They're pretty sure they'll turn into dust when the sun fully rises, you see. Kids will believe anything. Will you stand and watch? Or will you try to help? Happy Spooky Season! - this drop is open to the first two characters to reply (only one per player) - if you replied to the last drop, you may only enter again if there's still an open spot/open spots on Thursday Oct 16 - gifts will be randomized but autumn-themed - if you miss out, don't worry! She has always been partial to dusk and dawn; the times of day when the world lingers between dark and light. With her body spun of shadow and leaving a trail of golden light in her wake, she wondered if she appreciated it just a little more than the rest of them. Her shadows and her light were both so much a part of her that she knows she could never give up one for the other. With dawn quickly approaching she finds herself in the forest, making her way towards the meadow in hopes of catching the sunrise. But a sound above her causes her to stop, and she watches for a moment with her golden eyes as the two bats flutter anxiously around the tree. She can’t speak bat, but she recognizes a creature in trouble when she sees it. “Are you guys lost?” She asks them even though they cannot exactly reply, and perhaps it is her cloak of shadows that draws them close, but at the sound of her voice the duo flit nervously around her head. Glancing towards the edge of the forest, where she can just barely make out the lightening sky, she nods in understanding. “Ah, you need to get back home, yes?” Taking a chance, she conjures a portal of shadow, and with the two young bats she enters it, landing them near an area she knew a colony of bats resides. Her guess was correct, it seems, when the two of them, after fluttering in what she assumes is happiness near her face, join their family just as the first golden rays of light stretch across the horizon. racine. RE: The Bats - Snowshadow - 10-13-2025 The twins had been asleep nearby, as normal the young female always awoke first. Blue eyes glance towards her brother, who was still snoring, he was never awake as early as her and dare she try to wake him he would be in the fouling of moods. So she left the black hued one sleeping as she carefully got to her feet, allowing her body the stretch it wanted as she arched her and yawned before moving away from the sleeping stallion. Moving further into the meadow she dropped her head to grasp at the sweet grass, she'd only just gotten a few mouthfuls when some dull chatter caught her attention. Lifting her head she stood quiet, tilting her head and straining her hearing to work out what creature it was. Bats she thought. She frowned as she glanced at the brightening sky, it was strange to find them still out at this time in the morning. Curiosity getting the best of her she followed the sound deeper into the wooded area to find two small bats, hanging upside down and bickering. She frowned again, she didn't know what was wrong as there little squeaks increased in volume. Their panicking she thought. Why? Looking around she couldn't see any other bats, had these 2 been left behind by accident? She watched as morning daylight crept closer to them, causing them to panic and try to move away from it, almost resulting in one hitting the floor. She whipped out her magic, sending a leafy vine to catch it as she considered what to do. She couldn't taken them home when she wasn't sure where home was. Once more she noticed there fear of the light. She smiled, that she could help with though, once more flaring her magic to ask the vines to create a small ball with an opening at the bottom so they could escape from there daytime hiding place later, making sure to add some extra vines inside that they could hang from. Once done she used the vine that had caught the young bat who had fallen to collect his friend before offering the tangled vines shaped ball to them, pleased when they scurried up into it. As a finishing touch she asked her magic to cover the ball with some large leaves, making sure not a single speck of light could penetrate the ball. The little bats would be safe and hopefully tonight their family would collect them. As she stepped out into the morning sun she once more went back to grazing, the morning sun warming her back. RE: The Bats - Random Event - 10-13-2025 It's a good thing that bats and horses alike are all well-intentioned. Both versions of the young bats' story go smoothly, though the plant nest confounds them for a time. Still! No harm done. Surely all such random meetings will go this smoothly...
