full metal jacket; any [chaos week] - Mononoke - 05-22-2021

Mononoke slinks her way into Beqanna. She is unnaturalĀ in her magic, eyeing the surroundings with the cut of her silver eyes. It stunk of equine and nothing more. Traces of other animals clawed from the thickness of horse but it was sparingly. Some wolf, some cat but hardly else. The ancient god can feel their mortal scents searing her nostrils but she must endure. The others in the heavens had wagered each on how long they could mingle with them before they turned tail to return to their sanctuary among the holy.

Now it was Mononoke's turn.

It had been so long since she had felt soil beneath her foot. She can not exactly remember what mortals even really looked like. It was quite a mess (the form she took) thinking it would blend in. A doe with flowering antlers, a snake's tail and tongue...a tattoo of one on her left front leg. Quite a mess in deed but since it was what the form she held as she touched the soil, it was the one that caged her. Their voices and smells made her heady and stimulated. It was intoxicating and disgusting in rolling waves.

The deer moves along the edge of the river before dipping to the thick depths of a spring-fat forest. The colors and sounds soothed her bound form as she slipped between the dappled sunlight. Others mingled here and she took it upon herself to go view the world's inhabitants. The doe picks her way casually, bobbing her head and fluttering the flowers that grew. She was a goddess after all! Why should she not meet the denizensĀ of the mortal world? She prays that they shall receive her in a calm manner as she was in no mood to fight whomever lay just up ahead of the trail.
