It’s a beautiful day in the Gates. The weather is just starting to warm for spring, and what remains of the snow sparkles brightly in the midday sun. Fiasko has spent the day in walking distance of the Mother Tree, enjoying the sun - it's been quite a while since it's been so warm. The twins are off somewhere playing at the moment, and it's nice to get the peace and quiet while she can. The pair of them have gotten so big over the past year - it's crazy to think that they're almost a year old.
She’s considering walking over to the river, one of her old haunting grounds as a child, when the scent of an unfamiliar horse reaches her nose. She perks up immediately. A new scent generally means one of two things in the Gates - diplomats, or newcomers. Curious, and a little hopeful (the Gates can always use new members), she decides to track down the source.
It takes her a little while - the kingdom is large after all - but eventually she finds the stranger. Her face splits into a crooked smile the moment she spots the mare. "Hello there! I'm Fiasko."
