No voice to call out suffering; any - Rajanish - 02-11-2020

Rajanish
The first discovery he did in the realm of the dead was that time does not exist. At least, it does not exist as it does in the real world; in the world of the living, time moves forwards at a constant pace, marked by the passing of the sun and seasons. In the grey Afterlife, time is meaningless, and anyone in here could have been here for hours, days, or years without truly noticing anything about the passing of time.

That, perhaps, made experimenting a little harder.

On the other hand, none of his subjects ever died, for those who lived here, were already dead - timeless, their time on the surface world gone. Just like he.

But it was, in the end, boring. Life had a fastness to it that could never be equaled by the ghosts and… remnants… in the afterlife; their greyness started to bore the mad scientist’s ghost. Even as a ghost he got bored, that’s how boring must it be...he shakes his head, the thought unimportant in the light of the second discovery.

Or perhaps he was was because of the second discovery; because of the little gift he had been given upon death.

It’s time for a visit, then. Pangea, the land he last lived in, is easy to reach from the breach he can now cross; or perhaps his ghost form doesn’t get fatigued, doesn’t feel the distance as much as his living (now dead) body might have.

He’s invincible… because he can’t be touched if he doesn’t want to, doesn’t get hurt because he has no body, and cannot die again.

What then, but a bit of mischief, can be accomplished in the land of the living? Or perhaps he can find someone who would return there with him?
No cost too great. No mind to think. No will to break.
No voice to cry out suffering.
